World Law Group is pleased to welcome José Augusto Dias de Castro of TozziniFreire (member firm for Brazil) as the newest co-chair of WLG's Energy & Infrastructure Group. José Augusto brings deep experience in government contracts and regulatory matters in several fields of infrastructure. He has been an active contributor to the group, most recently leading a global discussion on the state of infrastructure preparedness for major climate events.
WWLG's Energy & Infrastructure Group brings together lawyers from across the network to exchange insights, track legal developments, and support clients on energy and infrastructure-related matters. The group also collaborates with other WLG Practice & Industry Groups to share knowledge and foster cross-disciplinary learning among members.
As co-chair, José Augusto joins Jeremy Blackshaw of MinterEllison (member firm for Australia) and Ignacio Minorini Lima of Bruchou & Funes de Rioja (member firm for Argentina) in driving the group's programming and engagement. With José Augusto's track record of thought leadership and his collaborative approach to cross-border legal issues, the group is well-positioned to continue supporting clients navigating complex infrastructure projects in a rapidly changing global environment.
José Augusto is a partner in TozziniFreire's Infrastructure and Energy practices, with extensive experience advising on contracts and regulatory frameworks. His appointment marks his first leadership role within WLG and reflects his active involvement and commitment to the group's cross-border collaboration.
