Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown acted as Brazilian legal counsel to Gerdau in the public offering of 5.750% notes due 2035, totaling USD 650 million. The public offering was registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, BBVA, BNP Paribas, BTG Pactual, Citi, Mizuho, and Santander acting as underwriters.

Concurrently with the bond issuance, the firm also advised on the cash tender offer for any and all of Gerdau's outstanding 4.875% notes due 2027, totaling approximately USD 238 million.

The team was led by partner Rodolfo Tella, from the Capital Markets & Securitization practice, and included partner Giampaolo Marzulli, from the Tax practice, and associates Natália Minotto and Camilla Hehnes, both from the Capital Markets & Securitization practice.
