London - Mayer Brown has advised Omni Partners ("Omni") and Infoshare+ on the acquisition of Datatank Limited ("Datatank"), strengthening the data capabilities of Omni-owned Infoshare+. Mayer Brown also advised Omni on its original acquisition of the data management leader Infoshare and Infoshare's subsequent acquisition of two key software solutions from the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (in October 2024) and digital solutions provider Looking Local (in January 2025).

Datatank provides a proven, data-driven solution that enables councils to sustainably and efficiently increase revenue using credit bureau data in combination with their own council tax data. Its core technology helps councils uncover inaccurate or fraudulent claims for Single Person Discount ("SPD") on council tax bills. Founded in 2004, the Datatank team has deep public sector expertise, with the company serving as a trusted partner to more than 160 local authorities across the UK.

Omni is a London-based investment management and private equity investor focused on mission-led, fast growing and profitable businesses that are looking for their first external capital. These are typically high-margin, UK-based companies that dominate their niche and are driven by culture-focused management teams.
