Ann Fenech, Head of the Marine Litigation Department presided over a week's activity during the CMI Tokyo 2025 Conference in her capacity as President of the Comité Maritime International.
The entire week was dedicated to numerous parallel sessions at which experts from all over the world analysed and discussed legal issues relating toseveral topical issues including MASS, Decarbonisation, Attacks on the High Seas, Judicial Sales and Collision.She moderated a Panel on the ratification of theConvention on the International effects of judicial sales, presided over a plenary session which approved the Lex Marittima and over a General Assembly which passed a resolution adopting the Lex Marittima.
During her stay in Tokyo she had a private meeting with the Japanese Minister for Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Mr. Nakano Hiromasa.
