Groupe ABS, a Quebec-based engineering consulting firm, has sold the majority of its shares to Ginger, a French civil engineering firm and subsidiary of Sagard, thereby strengthening Sagard's presence in North America.
In this transaction, BCF represented the shareholders of Groupe
ABS, a company specializing in materials engineering, building
science, geotechnics, environment, metallurgy, geophysics, and rock
mechanics.
Ginger, a leader in engineering consulting present in over 100
countries, benefits from solid financial support as a subsidiary of
the investment firm Sagard, enabling it to undertake large-scale
international projects.
The founders and current shareholders of Groupe ABS will retain a
significant stake in the company and will continue to lead its
growth alongside the current management team. This investment
allows Sagard to strengthen its presence in the engineering sector
in North America.
