Appleby Spurling Hunter received the "Offshore Law Firm of the Year" award at Thursday’s Chambers Global Awards 2005. The award was presented to Warren Cabral, the Managing Partner of Appleby’s London office, by Cherie Booth Q.C., wife of UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair. Appleby competed against an elite list of law firms including Carey Olsen, Hassans, Maples & Calder, Mourant du Feu Jeune, Ogier, Ozannes and Walkers. The presentation, held at London’s Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, attracted 1,000 plus invited guests.

The survey results in a six-point ranking scale for top firms and attorneys. Their Market Research methodology has been approved by the British Market Research Bureau and is audited annually.
