Katten Partners David Crichlow, Deepro Mukerjee and Scott Resnik were named to the Crain's New York Business list of Notable Litigators & Trial Attorneys 2025.

David Crichlow, co-chair of the Litigation Department at Katten, was recognized, in part, for his role as lead trial counsel for one of the world's leading industrial gas companies in its billion-dollar claim against a global oil and gas company arising out of an alleged breach and repudiation of a long-term design and build hydrogen plant and related long-term hydrogen supply agreement between the parties, resulting in a very favorable settlement entered into by the oil and gas company on the eve of trial.

Deepro Mukerjee, global chair of the firm's Intellectual Property Department, was honored for his trial victory on behalf of one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies in a patent infringement matter regarding a generic pulmonary arterial hypertension drug.

Scott Resnik, national chair of Katten's White Collar and Investigations Department, was named due to his representation of an ex-Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) examiner who was indicted for accessing SEC computers about a probe into a hedge fund before taking on a C-suite role at that company. The government dropped all felony charges and accepted a misdemeanor plea with no prison time.

There were 84 total honorees recognized for shaping precedent and advocating for clients across industries and issues in the New York City region. To qualify for this recognition, nominees must serve in senior leadership roles and have worked in the profession for a minimum of 10 years. Crain's editors reviewed the nominees.
