Helena Drage, led by Nikita McNeill of 2 Hare Court, appeared in Salisbury Coroner’s Court to represent the Ministry of Defence in the inquest into the death of Jaysley-Louise Beck who took her own life at Larkhill Garrison in 2021.

The inquest probed important evidence about the experiences of women in the Army and about the Army's ability to respond to unacceptable sexual behaviours. The Minister for Veterans and People at the Ministry of Defence has apologised to Jaysley's family for the failings identified during the inquest.

The inquest has been widely covered in the media, including features in the BBC, The Guardian and Sky News.
