We are excited to announce the further growth of our specialist Commercial IP practice at ENS, with Craig Shapiro joining as Executive.
Craig has joined our Commercial IP team, headed by Janine Thomas, to enhance the team’s capacity to deliver innovative and tailored solutions to the firm’s clients, both in the Intellectual Property practice and to play a supporting role in transactional and advisory work for the Corporate Commercial, Tax and other areas of specialisation in the firm. He is one of a few specialist commercial IP attorneys in the country. He is a qualified Trade Mark Practitioner and a South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law Fellow. Although Craig brings with him 16 years of IP expertise across a broad spectrum of experience (both local and international) in the IP field, his area of deep specialisation and passion is the field of Commercial IP.
Gaelyn Scott, Head of ENS’ IP practice, said: “We are delighted to have Craig onboard. Commercial IP is a growing area of specialisation and a key component of our full-service IP practice within a full-service law firm. Craig’s appointment reinforces our commitment to being at the forefront of IP legal services and providing wholistic IP solutions to meet our clients’ business needs across Africa”.
