Thomas is a versatile and sought-after corporate attorney with more than a decade of experience providing strategic legal and business guidance to clients ranging from start-ups to late stage private and public companies. He primarily serves private and public companies in the technology, video gaming, digital media, and retail and consumer products industries, regularly counseling clients in a range of mission-critical transactions and company milestones.
Throughout his career, Thomas has advised on transactions with an aggregate value of more than $45 billion.
Prior to joining Mintz, Thomas was the managing partner of a boutique firm he founded in San Francisco focused on M&A, private equity, and venture financing transactions. Earlier, Thomas was an associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice of a premier New York City–based law firm and then in the San Francisco office of a multinational law firm.
Thomas earned a JD, cum laude, at New York University School of Law, and a BS, with highest honors at Georgia Institute of Technology.
Thomas represents the most recent addition to Mintz’s growing San Francisco office, which was recognized last month by The San Francisco Business Times and Silicon Valley Business Journal as one of the 2024 Best Places to Work in the Bay Area. Mintz services over 400 clients in the Bay area, including the region’s most innovative technology, life sciences, and private equity companies.
