The Fasken partner was recognized for his exceptional contributions to the legal profession in British Columbia
Vancouver (Canada) - Fasken partner, Kinji Bourchier, KC, has been recognized with the King’s counsel (KC) designation for exceptional contributions to the legal profession in British Columbia.
Called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2000, Kinji is a leading litigator in the areas of environmental law and commercial litigation in Canada.
He has held leadership roles at the Vancouver Bar Association, the Environmental Law section of the Canadian Bar Association – BC Branch, the Hoop-Law Society and The Advocates’ Society. His volunteer work includes serving as a founding director of the Reed Athletics Fund and on the regional executive leadership committee of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada. He has also served as president of the Allard Law Alumni Association since 2015.

The list of 2023 King’s counsel appointees was released on December 12. This year’s appointees include lawyers in private practice, government and academia who have distinguished themselves by their counsel, teaching contributions, publications, advocacy and volunteerism.
