Walkers recently welcomed students, parents, faculty members and job seekers from multiple high schools, tertiary institutions and work placement programmes across Grand Cayman to its annual career fair. With just over 70 people in attendance, the fair showcased the variety of employment, internship and scholarship opportunities for Caymanians that Walkers offers.

Attendees at the fair were able to speak with staff from various business and professional services groups, including team members from compliance and regulatory services, IT, marketing, finance, human resources, facility services and corporate services, as well as trainee lawyers and members of the firm's Trainee Committee.

Jordana Clarke, Head of Learning and Development, commented "One of the main objectives of the annual career fair is to showcase the multitude of opportunities available at Walkers, and we are thrilled that so many were able to attend and discover all that Walkers has to offer. Our hope is that many of the attendees will consider a career with us in the future."

David Collins, Partner and Chair of the Trainee Committee, said "We look forward to hosting the career fair each year and are extremely proud to welcome the future of Cayman's work force into our offices today."

Walkers has a proud tradition of training the next generation of Cayman's workforce. The firm's legal training programme has been in existence since 1983 when the firm brought in its first two articled clerks - Frank Banks and Wayne Panton - making it the oldest legal training programme in the Cayman Islands. Since then, Walkers has expanded its training offerings to include development programmes for Caymanians such as the Junior Legal Secretary Training Programme, the Fiduciary Services Development Programme and the WPS Development Programme. Walkers also actively mentors students and offers them work experience and internships each year.
