Sayenko Kharenko acted as the legal counsel to Alpha Bank A.E., an Athens based bank, on the EUR 82 million sale of 100% shares in PJSC "Astra Bank" to a Cyprus based entity affiliated with Mr. Mykola Lagun.

The deal was signed on 18 July 2013 in Kyiv and will be closed later this year as soon as the change of control is approved by the Ukrainian regulatory authorities.  

Sayenko Kharenko provided full transactional support, including general advice on Ukrainian banking and corporate law matters, deal structuring, development and negotiation of all transactional documents.
