Excise And Import Customs Duties On Tobacco Go Into Effect

Parliament has passed a law introducing new ECU denominated excise and customs duty rates on imported and locally manufactured tobacco products taking effect 2 March 1995. The duties are collected in Ukrainian currency according to the official exchange rate existing on the date of customs clearance for imported goods and at the start of each three months of sales for domestic output.
