Trade mark fees have increased substantially by 55% to 180%, while patent fees remain stable but include new procedural charges, and copyright filing processes shift toward digital-only submissions.

Minister of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Regulation No. 5 of 2026 on Trademark Registration (“Permenkum 5/2026”) came into force on 23 February 2026 and replaced Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation No. 67 of 2016, as amended by Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation No. 12 of 2021.
