Introduction of new Kind of Business (KoB) for direct sellers - FSSAI
In order to differentiate between a retailer and a direct seller, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has introduced a new Kind of Business (KoB) for Direct Sellers under Food Safety Compliance System(FoSCoS). Direct Seller means a person appointed or authorized, directly or indirectly, by a Direct Selling Entity through a legally enforceable written contract to undertake direct selling business on principal-to-principal basis, as defined in Consumer Protection Act 2019/ (Direct Selling) Rules 2021.

Advisory regarding Selling/Marketing of reconstituted fruit juices as "100% Fruit Juices"
With reference to the advisory dated June 3rd, 2024, concerning the 'clarification regarding Selling/marketing of reconstituted fruit juices as 100% fruit juices', FSSAI has extended the deadline for using the existing pre-printed packaged materials from August 31st, 2024, to December 31st, 2024.

The regulations provide a regulatory mechanism for the treatment and settlement of deviation from the schedule of drawal or injection of electricity in the interest of reliability, security, and stability of the grid.

Amendment in the Guidelines for Import/ Export (Cross Border) of Electricity, 2018
The amendment deals with export of electricity to neighbouring countries by generating companies/distribution companies and supply of electricity to neighbouring country by Indian generating station(s), subject to approval of the designated authority.

Amendment to Jammu and Kashmir Industrial Land Allotment Policy, 2021-30
To encourage large investments having strategic importance to the economy, the government may allot land on preferential basis to mega projects – industrial/service sector unit set up with a minimum capital investment (excluding land and working capital) of at least Rs. 4000 crores.
