Khaitan & Co advised Jabalpur Transmission Company Limited
(JTCL) in relation to the rupee term loan facility aggregating to
INR 425 crores availed from ICICI Bank Limited for the purpose of,
inter alia, refinancing the loan from Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited.
The facility is secured by the movable and immovable assets of
JCTL.
Jabalpur Transmission Company Limited constructs, maintains and
operates power transmission lines in the States of Chhattisgarh and
Madhya Pradesh. Jabalpur Transmission Company Limited is controlled
by India Grid Trust, an Infrastructure Investment Trust registered
with SEBI. Manisha Shroff (Partner) Rolwine Alva (Senior Associate)
and Enakshi Jha (Associate) represented the client on the
transaction.
