Hong Kong on Economic Analysis

The ASEAN region has witnessed remarkable economic growth in recent years, leading to a substantial increase in the population of High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and families.

Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive John Lee led a successful high-level delegation to three member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) – Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam – to strengthen Hong Kong's regional ties through increased bilateral trade and investment, enhanced economic co-operation and fostering business opportunities.

The Government launched the new Capital Investment Entrant Scheme (new "CIES") earlier this year, in line with its ongoing efforts to revitalise Hong Kong's economy.
