What are the Changes?

The government of Guyana will increase the minimum wage requirement for private-sector workers to GYD 60,147 effective 1 July 2022. The government also reinforced that workers should not exceed five days of work per week for 40 total hours. Workers who exceed 40 hours in a week must be paid at a minimum rate set out by the Hours and Holiday Act and the country's labor laws.
