On April 21, 2026, the Beijing Intellectual Property Court published its annual case list for 2025. The release includes ten main cases (available in both Chinese and English) and nine nominated cases.

These cases were chosen from nearly 29,000 decisions made by the court in 2025. Each case went through a thorough review process before being selected. The cases cover four key areas of intellectual property law: patents, trademarks, copyrights, and competition and antitrust law.

The cases focus on important and fast growing fields such as artificial intelligence, biomedicine, data technology, online platforms, seed industry protection, and antitrust issues. They also address practical concerns in sectors like healthcare, creative industries, agricultural product protection, and the regulation of online platforms. The goal is to provide clearer legal guidance where rules are still developing and to ensure that intellectual property protection is fair, practical, and forward looking.
