On April 19, 2021, the BC Government announced its intention to amend the Employment Standards Act to provide workers with up to three hours of paid leave for each dose of the COVID-19 vaccine they receive. If this amendment passes, it will be retroactively effective to April 19, 2021.

This latest announcement is an expansion on the previously announced job protected leave for workers getting vaccinated, which we blogged about earlier.
