January 2022 – Kinstellar has successfully advised the Turkish "casual games" developer Dream Games in raising USD 255 million of new financing in a Series C investment round that values the business at USD 2.75 billion. The funding round was led by Index Ventures with Makers Fund, IVP, funds and accounts managed by BlackRock, Kora and Balderton Capital also participating. The successful C-round funding comes after we have previously advised the client on its series A and B rounds in February and July 2021.

Dream Games is an Istanbul-based mobile gaming company that develops high-quality mobile games, with its debut game, Royal Match, being one of the most played mobile games globally of 2021. The company will use the funding to continue investing in and developing Royal Match, and to work on its next launch. Dream Games became the third "Unicorn" in Turkey following its series B round in July 2021.

Kinstellar's team was led by Emre Edmund Özer, Partner in the firm's Istanbul office, together with Beliz Zorlu (Associate) and Can Sevener of Sevener Hukuk (Of Counsel).
