Taft attorney Lawrence J. Suffredin was honored with the Justice John Paul Stevens Award from the Chicago Bar Foundation at a virtual ceremony on Oct. 13. This award is given to Illinois attorneys who exemplify Justice Stevens' commitment to public service and integrity while practicing law. He is one of five recipients to be selected for this prestigious award.

Suffredin focuses his practice on government relations, including lobbying and administrative practice at the local, state, and federal levels. He counsels labor unions, large business associations, cultural institutions, corporations, professional organizations, local governments and individuals when in contact with various governmental units. With his broad knowledge of government and politics, he has assisted numerous candidates and campaigns and served in various public leadership capacities.
