Jones Day partner Bruce Bennett, the global leader of the Firm's Business Restructuring & Reorganization Practice, will be honored for his work on the "Mega Company Turnaround/Transaction of the Year" at the 2021 Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Annual Conference, October 26-29, 2021, in Nashville, Tennessee, and online.

Mr. Bennett was selected for his role as a principal member of the team of legal counsel and financial advisors who represented holders of approximately 40% of the equity interests of PG&E Corp., the owner of Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) in connection with their chapter 11 reorganization cases. PG&E is one of the largest public utilities in the United States, and the bankruptcy cases were among the largest in U.S. history.

The Turnaround/Transaction of the Year Awards are chosen based on a rigorous peer-review process by the volunteer TMA Awards Committee. This process includes extensive diligence of each nominated case. As the judges review all components of each entry, they look for well-defined, measurable outcomes.

The TMA is a non-profit organization serving corporate renewal and restructuring professionals worldwide. Since 1993, it has honored excellence through its annual awards program.
