Sophie Hagège and Gaël Saint Olive, partners in Jones Day's M&A Practice and Partner-in-Charge and Administrative Partner, respectively, of the Firm's Paris Office, have been named to the Forbes and Lettre des Juristes d'Affaires' "French CAC 40's Top 40 Lawyers" list.
The list honors 40 business lawyers named by the general counsel of each of France's Top 40 companies listed on the French CAC stock market index.
Ms. Hagège has more than 25 years of experience advising clients in multijurisdictional M&A, joint ventures and strategic alliances, commercial and industrial agreements, and outsourcing projects. She is one of only two women lawyers listed in the M&A category in the survey, and recognized as active in international transactions, notably in the highly regulated chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and telecoms sectors. "She is tremendously efficient and entirely dedicated to the matters entrusted to her," said one of the general counsel interviewed, highlighting "an excellent quality/price ratio."
Mr. Saint Olive advises French and foreign clients in international mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, including multijurisdictional transactions involving coordination of legal teams in multiple countries. Particularly active in the health care and life sciences sectors, he is a trusted advisor of leading pharmaceutical and chemical companies on strategic transactions. One of the general counsel interviewed described him as "... a true charismatic leader. His high-level and pragmatic vision allows him to manage complex issues involving other disciplines, such as HR concerns."
