ENSafrica is delighted to have received several accolades at the prestigious 2020 African Legal Awards, the results of which were announced on 17 September 2020.
This included IP Team of the Year, which we received for our role in advising Ninety One Limited (formerly Investec Asset Management) on the clearance and protection of its new brand in over 30 jurisdictions, as well as on the appropriate structuring of its trade mark ownership and management of brand equities. We also advised on putting in place complex intra-group trade mark licences in compliance with South African exchange control regulations and applicable transfer pricing rules (collaborating closely with the ENSafrica transfer pricing team). This matter required deep multidisciplinary IP expertise, as well as work seamless collaboration with other specialist teams at ENSafrica to deliver a comprehensive solution to our client.
This is the third year that the ENSafrica IP team has received this prestigious recognition, which demonstrates the IP team as a consistent leading IP services provider across Africa.
