Gowling WLG's Corporate Communications team has won Bronze in the 'Best internal communications from the professional services sector' category at the Internal Communications and Engagement Awards 2023.

Showcasing the achievements of communications teams from a range of professional services and sectors, the Internal Communications and Engagement Awards celebrate and highlight the impact internal communications has on a business, the role of the internal communicator within an organisation and the creative strategies developed to promote an engaged workforce.

The team claims the award from leading corporate communications trade publication Communicate Magazine, in recognition of its efforts to drive stakeholder engagement in Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games ("B2022") activity among the firm's people, as part of Gowling WLG's role as the Official Legal Advisers to and sponsors of B2022.

Head of Corporate Communications, Rebecca Scully, said: "We're incredibly proud to have been recognised by Communicate Magazine. The award reflects not only our excellence in professional services marketing communications, but our strengths as a business as a whole to deliver success in our role as the Official Legal Advisers to and sponsors of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

"Our approach to internal communications and the way we ran campaign projects broke new ground for legal and professional communications. The team worked tirelessly to engage our people and communities, who sit at the very heart of all we do, fostering passionate brand ambassadors, inclusivity and tangible involvement across the firm."
