Appointment Follows Naming of Geline Midouin and Robert Brown as Co-Executive Directors.

Global law firm Shearman & Sterling announced that Daniel Dellacona has been named Chief People Officer succeeding Geline Midouin. Daniel, who joined Shearman in September 2021, has been director of the firm's human resources department for the Americas.

Shearman created the position of Chief People Officer in early 2021 to oversee the firm's many programs that address the full life cycle of an employee at its 22 offices worldwide. Daniel and his team are closely involved in the recruitment of attorneys and business support personnel, retention of current talent, alumni outreach and matters such as relationships with the firm's health & benefits partners as well as diversity, inclusion & equity initiatives.

Daniel joined Shearman following a career in healthcare media, advertising and technology focused services in which he implemented innovative programs to transform the functions of human resources departments to better address employee needs and concerns in the modern era. A lawyer by training, Daniel's experience in the health care sector has informed the firm's implementation of cutting-edge programs in wellness, health benefits and personal finance.

"Danny is a smart, compassionate and creative leader with the ideas and energy to continue to attract and retain the outstanding people who make Shearman & Sterling such a fabulous place to work," said Co-Executive Director Geline Midouin.
