CMS Not Implementing Changes To Miscellaneous DME Codes

CMS has announced that it will not adopt changes to miscellaneous durable medical equipment HCPCS codes on January 1, 2016, as it had proposed earlier this year in order to promote more accurate payment of DME claims.

CMS has announced that it will not adopt changes to miscellaneous durable medical equipment (DME) HCPCS codes on January 1, 2016, as it had proposed earlier this year in order to promote more accurate payment of DME claims. CMS will consider the issue further, and additional information will be provided on the status of these coding changes in the future.
