Great post (http://bit.ly/JgeuB6) on the GigaOM Apple Blog recently about Apple's lobbying efforts -- or lack thereof. Like Microsoft, Google, and other heavyweight companies, Apple will have to become more active in Washington. They've simply become too big, and they have an ever increasing target on their backs. But "active" doesn't have to mean blanketing Washington with money. Like all things Apple, the company can craft and execute a carefully considered strategy, leveraging the strength of their brand, to connect with policy makers in DC.
