SEC Division of Corporation Finance Director William H. Hinman will step down from his position later this year.

SEC Division of Corporation Finance Director William H. Hinman will step down from his position later this year. Mr. Hinman has served as Director since May 2017.

SEC Chair Clayton highlighted some of Mr. Hinman's initiatives, including (i) updating disclosure requirements, (ii) improving the proxy process, (iii) addressing the exempt offering framework and (iv) extending the benefits of the JOBS Act to more issuers.

Shelley Parratt, currently the Deputy Director of the Division of Corporation Finance, will serve as Acting Director.
