here, the House of Commons' Delegated Legislation Committee
considered the UPC Privileges and Immunities Order last week. The
legislation was formally approved by MPs yesterday, as reported in
Hansard.
The legislation must now go before the House of Lords and then
the Privy Council, after which the UK will be in a position to
ratify the UPC Agreement.
The House of Lords' Grand Committee is scheduled to consider
the legislation tomorrow afternoon, with remaining steps expected
to be mere formalities.
