Slovak News - Nov 96 - Amendment To The Law No. 600/1992 Coll. On Securities

National Council of the SR passed an amendment to the Law on securities. President Kovae has returned it to the National Council for repeated discussion.

Referring to the Amendment the issuer decides about the form of the securities, that means to choose between immaterial or documentary form of securities. In case that the issuer has chosen the documentary form, he is not required to trade these securities on the public market.

Suggested changes will cause a decrease in transparency of trading in the securities market and may therefore mean a step back to a badly organized securities market.
