In Wednesday's budget, The Chancellor of the Exchequer announced that he would be appointing an expert to investigate why the UK property market has traditionally shunned longer term fixed rate mortgage products.

This type of mortgage has long been popular across the Atlantic, yet has never caught on over here. As such, Gordon Brown is anxious to see whether longer term fixed rate mortgages would help to smooth out the boom and bust cycles that the UK's property market has seen recently.

Andrew Frankish, a Director at Mortgage Talk, the North of England's largest mortgage broker, is offering journalists the opportunity of an interview, to give his views and opinion on this proposal.

If this is of interest, and you would like to speak with Andrew Frankish, please contact Pink Elephant PR to schedule a telephone interview at your convenience.
