The Environmental Protection and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2014 (EPOLA Bill), introduced to Parliament on 28 August 2014, is the State Government's second round of Greentape Reduction reforms. This seminar will consider:
- the proposed amendments to the Environmental Protection Act 1994 (EP Act) with respect to environmental offences and compliance mechanisms;
- the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection's new regulatory strategy; and
- the proposed amendments to the Environmental Offsets Act 2014.
This is a key seminar to keep up to date with the proposed reforms to environmental regulation in Queensland and to gain insights into the practical application of the Environmental Offsets Act 2014.
