Walkers' London office has been confirmed as the top offshore legal team in the City, with new rankings from prestigious industry guide Chambers and Partners confirming its place as the only team ranked in the top tier for both BVI and Cayman law advice.

The team – which over the last 12 months has introduced a new Bermuda law offering, to add to its BVI and Cayman law offering in the City – has retained its top-tier ranking for BVI and Cayman law, and has also seen five of its ten partners ranked by Chambers across Banking & Finance, Investment Funds, Corporate and Dispute Resolution.

Partner Jack Boldarin (Banking & Finance) is ranked Tier 1 by Chambers for both BVI law & Cayman law, with partners Hughie Wong (Investment Funds), Tatziana Paraguacuto-Maheo (Investment Funds) and John O'Driscoll (Insolvency/Dispute Resolution) ranked for Cayman law, and Neil McDonald (Corporate M&A) ranked for BVI law.

Walkers is the largest offshore law firm in London and provides time zone sensitive Bermuda, BVI and Cayman law support to clients in the EMEA region. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Walkers London office.

Client feedback quoted by Chambers' independent researchers highlighted that the team has "excellent and commercial legal advice alongside being able to leverage extensive and wide-ranging experience in the industry" and "excellent communication between their worldwide offices and good cooperation between them".

Individual feedback for the lawyers within the team included one client's description of Tatziana Paraguacuto-Maheo as "the perfect go-to person for any client's Cayman needs", and feedback for John O'Driscoll as "very bright, switched-on, commercial and user-friendly".

Jack Boldarin said: "We are delighted to have retained our Tier 1 ranking across both BVI and Cayman law in Chambers and Partners latest guide, and appreciate the tremendous support of our premium client base - who have equally supported the launch of our Bermuda law capability out of the London time zone."

"We continue to grow in terms of both headcount - which has risen by 25% in London in the last 12 months - and market share, and I am particularly pleased to see client feedback which confirms our team's standing as the premiere offshore law firm in London."

Note: Walkers does not practise English law and instead works alongside leading international law firms to provide integrated offshore and onshore support.
