Lucy joined the Partnership at Holman Webb in July 2020 - becoming the youngest Partner in the history of the firm. With over eleven years' experience in Insurance Law, Lucy provides expert, realistic, and common sense legal advice to insurers, local and global underwriters, their agents, brokers, and insureds.
Lucy is committed to developing close working relationships with her clients, taking the time to understand their strategic objectives, and is cognisant that value driven legal spend is a necessity for the insurance industry.
By taking a highly integrated partnering approach with clients, Lucy has developed a strong understanding of both the commercial and legal complexities within which her legal advice is provided, and claims are litigated. Lucy's experience includes an extended secondment to a global insurance client, which bolstered her practical understanding of the commercial drivers of insurers, and has strengthened her ability to advise on matters with highly advanced commercial acumen, using methods that work best for her clients.
Lucy is responsible for a large insurance practice that includes professional indemnity, diverse property claims, product liability, indemnity and policy interpretation, fraud and claim investigations, and public liability claims.
Despite all the changes and challenges posed by the pandemic over the past twelve months, Lucy feels that one of her biggest achievements has been a successful first year as Partner. More specifically, in terms of her financial performance and with respect to the growth of her relationships within the insurance industry, particularly her clients with whom she has worked closely with for many years. Additionally, the training and mentorship she has provided to junior lawyers, both within Holman Webb and to various clients, has furthered her development as a leader within the insurance sector - something she thoroughly enjoys, and is particularly proud of.
As a 2016 Insurance Business Young Guns alumni, Lucy is incredibly proud to have been now been listed in Insurance Business Elite Women 2021.
