The communications sector - A world of change
The Business Law Section invites you to attend a seminar focusing on the significant legal challenges in the ever-evolving regulatory landscape in the communications sector. In this half-day seminar, we will discuss in-depth the ACCC's Digital Platforms Inquiry Final Report and the likely government response. Then we will be examining media freedoms and whether the current Australian regulatory framework has the balance right in guarding national security interests while at the same time adequately protecting journalists and supporting the provision of high quality news.
We are delighted to have ACCC Chair, Rod Sims provide the keynote speech. Angelene Falk, the Australian Information Commissioner and Privacy Commissioner, will discuss the privacy implications of the Digital Platforms Inquiry and the President of the Law Council of Australia, Arthur Moses SC, will speak on media freedoms.
