Lance Anderson, a Member in the firm's Austin office, authored Chapter 17: Intellectual Property Issues with Research and Academic Institutions. He has extensive experience preparing and negotiating technology and intellectual property-focused transactions, as well as technology transfer and commercialization issues. Prior to going into private practice, Mr. Anderson directed a technology commercialization office at a public research university system before joining a venture capital company specializing in university spinouts.
William Honaker, a Member in the firm's Troy office, authored Chapter 12: Intellectual Property and the Open-Innovation Movement. He has extensive knowledge and expertise in all aspects of patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright matters including litigation in a broad range of technologies/industries. Mr. Honaker is a highly sought after IP attorney in part due to his proprietary client communication and project management system, The Harmony System".
