Partner in consulting Caroline Hope manages to pursue her unique interests in bee keeping and unicycling while still making time for her 80-strong team and some big responsibilities.

How did you join Deloitte?

I joined Deloitte as a Director but I started my career as a children's social worker in a local authority.

What are you responsible for in your role?

I am responsible for a team of 80 people who work across social care, education, central government, defence, security and justice. We all help clients improve the operational parts of their organisations.

How are you supported to work flexibly?

I try to always work at home on Fridays as I have multiple sclerosis and need some down time to exercise properly and manage my fatigue.

What was your most memorable moment on the job so far?

Going to the Paralympics with a team when we won a Deloitte prize for 'going the extra mile'. Truly amazing and inspirational.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I keep bees and I ride a unicycle. Both are a challenge in different ways and both make me smile.
