When Senior Manager Cristina isn't busy safeguarding the finances of high profile businesses, she's enjoying her work as a successful wedding and lifestyle photographer. Read about her experience:
- How did you join Deloitte?
I initially joined the Guernsey office and then transferred to the Professional Standards Review Centre of Excellence (PSRCOE) in Newcastle.
- What are you responsible for in your role?
I established and lead the Financial Services team in the PSRCOE. I perform final quality reviews of high risk financial services audit clients which include public interest entities and FTSE 250 listed companies. My other responsibilities include working as a team leader and performance evaluation leader, coaching and mentoring managers as well as members of the Subsidiary Accounts Completion Centre.
- How are you supported to work flexibly?
I work from home once a week. I also have the option to work remotely as needed.
- What was your most memorable moment on the job so far?
I was seconded to the US as a UK Audit Restructuring Specialist together with other specialists from around the world. The role involved supporting Deloitte's Transformation Strategy of serving clients in a smarter way and improving the quality of audits performed in all Deloitte offices on a global scale.
- What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time away from Deloitte I enjoy working as a wedding and lifestyle photographer. Some of my best work has been featured in top wedding websites and published in prestigious international magazines. I also enjoy travelling.
