Hosted by Westpac Banking Corporation, Seminar 3 in the series of seminars coordinated by PLN Lawyers and Pacific Islands Trade & Invest, covered the European Debt contagion and its global affects, including Australia and the Pacific Islands.
In November 2011, Justin Smirk, Senior Economist from Westpac Banking Corporation gave a fascinating lecture on the European Debt Crisis and its flow on affects globally, including the effects on the Pacific Islands region via Australia.
The Made in the Pacific Seminar series is aimed at providing individuals, corporate representatives, multilaterals, donor bodies and large commercial organisations with up to date information pertinant to the region.
In 2012 the Made in the Pacific seminar series will continue. Our first seminar, to be held in February 2012, will cover the participation of the Pacific Islands in the international sporting arena and opportunities to invigorate trade and tourism within the region. The seminar will boast a panel of sporting and business experts who will explore this subject.
