Rob McInnes, a partner in the DibbsBarker Intellectual Property & Technology (IP&T) Group, has been named as one of the world's top 250 patent and technology licensing lawyers, and was ranked as the one and only "highly recommended" lawyer in the Australian market by Intellectual Asset Management Magazine.
IAM Licensing 250: The Worlds Leading Patent and Technology Licensing Practitioners is the only research-based publication that names both lawyers and patent attorneys working in this area. The selection process took over four months, and focused on both qualitative and quantitative research methodology.
Mr McInnes, who advises research organisations, technology companies and their investors on the commercialisation of novel technologies and on the intellectual propertyrelated aspects of major projects and transactions, is also one of only five Australian lawyers to have met the requirements for the US-based Certified Licensing Professional qualification.
"This accolade is a welcome demonstration of the fact that Australian advisers can achieve international best practice standards in this complex and globalised field," Mr McInnes said. "To be recognised in this way gives my clients confidence that their lawyer's expertise and experience will be acknowledged in negotiations that may be crucial to creating value for their companies."
