Farah Jaafar-Crossby to take helm of the midshore jurisdiction's promotion and marketing arm
Kuala Lumpur, 27 December 2017 – Labuan International Business and Financial Centre Incorporated Sdn Bhd (Labuan IBFC Inc), the official promotion and marketing agency for Labuan International Business and Financial Centre, Malaysia, has appointed Farah Jaafar-Crossby as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Farah, who currently heads the Marketing Intelligence and Strategic Communications unit, will assume the role on January 1, 2018.
"After a vigorous selection process, the Board is pleased to announce Farah's appointment as CEO of Labuan IBFC Inc. She brings with her years of experience in financial services from both the onshore and offshore perspectives, and is the best candidate to assume the leadership role to promote Labuan IBFC," said Dato Azlan Mohd Hashim, Chairman, Labuan IBFC Inc.
"Farah brings unique perspectives in her ability to translate vision and strategy into execution. This combined with her deep industry knowledge in both financial services and marketing makes her the natural choice to lead Labuan IBFC Inc.," Dato Azlan added.

A law graduate from University of Sheffield, she was previously General Manager of the Association of Stock Broking Companies Malaysia, and had worked with the Bursa Malaysia as well as the Asian Institute of Finance.
