This Wednesday (6 December 2017) is the Lord Mayor Appeal's "Santa in the City" - a 5k fun run where all of the runners embrace their festive side.
The route takes runners through some of London's most iconic vistas, starting from St Paul's Cathedral at around 7pm, crossing the Millennium Bridge and taking in the lights on the South Bank before heading back into the City.
Participants get given a Santa outfit and beard to use for the event, and can choose to run, jog or walk the route. Whichever they choose, they will still get a commemorative medal at the finish line.
Taking part for charity costs £11 per person and the minimum level of sponsorship required is £50. The funds raised can either go to the Lord Mayor's Appeal itself, or to one of the following nominated charities: Place2Be, OnSide Youth Zones or Samaritans.
