The Dublin office of leading international law firm Maples and Calder is delighted to have advised Version 1 on its Volpi Capital-backed management buy-out. This is Volpi Capital's largest transaction to date and sees the investment of €90 million of equity for a significant stake in Version 1.
This funding will drive the company's ambitious growth plans. Version 1, which is one of Ireland's biggest technology success stories, intends to further expand into the UK and Europe through both organic growth and development acquisitions with the intention of doubling in size over the next five years.
The Maples and Calder team was led by Corporate Partner, Patrick Quinlan.

Maples and Calder is a long-standing adviser to Version 1, having previously advised on the acquisitions of Patech Solutions Limited, Rocela Group, Beoley Mill Software and its previous equity fundraising from BDO's Development Capital Fund.
