WASHINGTON, D.C., August 18, 2026 – Proskauer advised the underwriters in Equity Residential’s (NYSE: EQR) $1 billion senior notes offering through its operating partnership, ERP Operating Limited Partnership (“ERP”). The offering consisted of $600 million of 4.950% Notes due 2031 and $400 million of 5.450% Notes due 2036 and settled on August 6, 2026. Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo Securities, BofA Securities, Goldman Sachs, and J.P. Morgan acted as joint book-running managers and representatives of the several underwriters. ERP intends to use the net proceeds for working capital and general company purposes, including potential repayment of certain outstanding indebtedness.
Equity Residential, a member of the S&P 500, is focused on the acquisition, development, and management of residential properties located in and around dynamic cities that attract affluent long-term renters. As of July 31, 2026, ERP owned all or a portion of 312 multifamily properties in 10 states and the District of Columbia, consisting of 85,520 apartment units.
