Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, 30 July 2026 – Twelve outstanding Grade 6 students from primary schools across the British Virgin Islands (“BVI”) have been recognised for achieving the highest English grades at their respective schools during a special ceremony hosted by Maples Group at the Maples Conference Room, Ritter House.
The students were celebrated for their exceptional performance, discipline and commitment to learning as they prepare to begin secondary school in September. The ceremony placed their achievements at the centre of the occasion, recognising the promise, confidence and communication skills they have already demonstrated at this important stage of their academic journeys.
The students recognised were:

- Daundre Rhodes – Bregado Flax Educational Centre
- Raina Sasha Jackson – Francis Lettsome Primary School

The Recognition Ceremony underscored the importance of literacy, communication and academic achievement as foundations for future success. Students were applauded for their individual accomplishments, while their families, teachers and school communities were also acknowledged for the important role they continue to play in supporting young learners across the Territory.
Speaking at the event, Christopher Newton, Managing Partner of Maples Group’s BVI office, congratulated the students and encouraged them to continue pursuing excellence as they transition to secondary school.
“Today we celebrate twelve exceptional students whose achievements in English reflect their hard work, perseverance and commitment to learning,” said Mr Newton. “Their success is an inspiration to their peers and a strong reminder of the value of dedication and academic excellence. We are proud to recognise their accomplishments and look forward to seeing the positive contributions they will make in secondary school and beyond.”
