Paris – Benjamin Homo, partner in the Tax Department of the Paris office and global co-head of the practice, has been named " Lawyer of the Year 2026" in Tax in France in the special Tax Law issue of the monthly publication Option Finance (no. 28). This distinction recognizes more than twenty years of transactional tax experience at Mayer Brown and a career marked by landmark transactions.

In the article, a client highlights Benjamin's qualities: "With him, complex tax, structuring and deal design issues become simple and clear. He is very creative. He makes sure every angle has been considered and helps us assess risks."

This recognition also reflects the strength of the team. As Benjamin puts it, "Tax is a team sport, especially in transactions." He particularly emphasizes the importance of his long-standing partnership with Laurent Borey, co-founder of the Tax practice in Paris.

The selection was conducted by Option Droit & Affaires following a survey of tax lawyers across the French market.
