His sports transaction experience includes representing Lou Wolff in the sale of his controlling interest in the Oakland A’s, co-advising Barstool Sports on its sale to Penn Entertainment and Dave Portnoy’s repurchase for $1, advising Jomboy Media on its landmark partnership with Major League Baseball and representing Emma Grede in launching Off Season in partnership with the NFL, NFLPA and Fanatics. A trusted advisor to some of the most recognizable names in sports media and commerce, Jesse has served as outside general counsel to Barstool Sports since 2016, negotiating deals such as Dave Portnoy’s purchase of Barstool from Penn Entertainment for $1. He assisted multimedia sports brand Jomboy Media with its IP and commercial matters, including in connection with the negotiation and execution of their strategic partnership with Major League Baseball and has negotiated deals for other clients involving the NFL, NBA, NFLPA and Fanatics.
